This EGR replacement pipe is a direct fit replacement for the 2.5 TDI 5 cylinder engine found in: VW Transporter with engine code BNZ (130bhp) and BPC (174bhp) VW Toureg with engine code BPD (163bhp) and BPE (174bhp) VW Crafter with engine codes BJJ (88bhp), BJK (109bhp),BJL (136bhp) and BJM (164bhp) Over time the standard EGR becomes choked with a carbon and oil mix which massively reduces the efficiency of the engine and ultimately can cause the EGR assembly to fail which is a costly part to replace from Volkswagen. Our replacement doesn’t allow exhaust gases back into the intake so immediately removes the carbon build up, whilst at the same time allowing no pre-heated air into the engine so it helps performance on two levels. As a result you may well see an improvement in fuel consumption too ! The pipe itself is made from a single piece billet (no welds) and comes complete with a new o-ring seal, and a blanking plate with gasket, for complete removal of the exhaust recirculation pipe from the engine bay. NOTE: removal of the vehicles EGR valve will result in a check engine light, and depending on model the glow plug light may flash. This does not adversely harm or effect the way in which the vehicle drives at all. This can be mapped out by most remapping companies. EGR valve blanking plate This kit allows the removal of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve on the following vehicles. Volkswagen: Beetle 2002-2010 with the BEW or ATD 1.9 Diesel engine. Forge Motorsport intercooler VW T5. Uprated front mounting intercooler for the VW T5 bus or van variants. Although significantly larger than the original intercooler this unit is a direct plug in replacement requiring no additional hoses or pipework. With a larger front cross sectional area the cooling / power recovery is improved. The unit offers a lower resistance, compared to OEM without adding turbo lag. Our own test vehicle consistantly showed that our intercooler reduced the intake air temperature by a futher 10 degrees centigrade when compared to the original intercooler and had a lower resistance resulting in less pressure drop. This product would normally be recommended for those who have tuned the engine by using performance software or a tuning box type interceptor, but it may also aid fuel economy depending on driving style. This Oil Cooler kit has been specifically designed to fit the VW T5 fitted with the twin turbo diesel engine (180hp).   The kit includes a Mocal * filter sandwich adaptor which incorporates a thermostat, so that the additional cooling only takes place when required.
